As a mother of young children, I will sometimes talk about the ups and downs of having children. In this lesson, I am going to tell you a story. There is some vocabulary to explore and some listening practice for you.
The story talks about emotions, in particular the negative ones. I know that it is good to think about the positive things in life, but sometimes life is frustrating and difficult. And you might need some vocabulary to help you to express those negative feelings!
In this video I highlight some adjectives that have -ed, -y, and -ing endings, but there’s also another one that doesn’t have any of these endings. See if you can find it in the story!
I end the video with an idiomatic expression that you can use in your everyday life. Make sure you watch to the end and answer the questions in the comments section.
