I thought it would be good today, to talk about a few expressions that you can use in your everyday conversations that should really impress the people around you.  After I go through the phrases, I will put them all into a conversation so you can read and hear the expressions in use.

Phrases:

• to be a stickler
• let your hair down
• bear in mind
• run low on funds
• catch off guard
• rustle up
• at the drop of a hat
• blow off some steam
• paint the town red
• free spirit

There’s an extra phrase in the conversation, which can be confusing for English learners. I am going to do another video about that one!
